I'm pleased to announce that, I too, have the 'unfortunate' to join the higher tax bracket payment where I will involuntary pay a portion of my income to the 'FICA people' for no returning benefits whatsoever.

@gitpush My application for work visa in the US, H1B, is approved today. It allows me to stay for work but it also means higher tax and no social healthcare benefits :(

If you dont receive government benefits, there has to be some form (your employer may have it) to say you are exempt from FICA. As a student employee in the US, I do.

H1B by and large sucks for everyone, except employers who can fire domestic workers, pay low wages to H1B holders, hold them more or less like slaves and enjoy the profit. That's the only reason why Microsoft and others are in favour of H1B.
