Me: Well yes. I didn't just pushed some buttons... I pushed them in the right sequence and solved your problem.

$50 isn't even that much money.

Was the client there when you did the work?

@Stuxnet Yes he was sitting next to me. But where I come from, 50 Euro for 5min. work Is not that bad.

@ckoulatsi I mean, in my home town $10/hr is a livable salary.

Was gonna say if he's not next to you, lie and say it took you 2 hours lol

Client friendly exlanation: Pressing the buttons was just $1. But knowing which buttons to press was $49.

@Stuxnet - in all fairness for your name sake - it wasn't to give them back their computer from the grips of ransomeware :)

reminds me of that Story with the guy that fixes a generator and bills 1 Dollar for the chalk mark and 9999 Dollar for knowing where to put the mark.

Reminds me of some ad I've seen here in The Netherlands. It was about someone that had an angry client because he sent an invoice charging 500 euros or something like that for 5 minutes work, just clicking a button. Invoice spec. was something like this:

    1. Clicking a button € 50,00
    2. Knowing what button to click € 450,00

Well, makes sense if you ask me.
