Happy to have a new Server available!!! 16 GB RAM with a sum of 8 cores with up to 3,6 GHz and RAID 10 with 16 TB memory available. I will run a ton of VMs. One will contain an open stack instance which I am very happy to finally explore & work with!!!

@davenall I know I just do not have more money atm :D But I will expand it. Currently it can fit 3-6 VMs depending of software ran in the VM which is enough ^^

How many threads to those core have? With 8 or 16 vcores you'll probably get a lot of cpusteal soon.

@xalys This are quad cores currently with 2 threads per physical core

@hypervtechnics ok, I think you'll be fine with a few VMs then :)

@xalys What issue do you mean? :D

@hypervtechnics cpusteal if you overcommit vcores

@seraphimsystems I wonder, what's the point of 8 core xeons nowadays, when even AMD's Threadripper has far more cores and still supports ECC? Hell, even a Ryzen 2700 could match that core count.
So why did you pick a Xeon? (Genuine question)
