I'm getting crazy: how do you prevent YouTube from automatically translate YT titles and descriptions? It's driving me nuts! I never switched this on and I can't find any localization settings!

    Yes it drives me nuts too. According the interwebs there is nothing much you can do except switching your google account to Great Britain. Which comes with several shortcomings.

    Jez, so I assume then it's translating other languages to English...

    Youtube settings. Then scroll down. Set your language.

    Sigh. The UX is terrible because it's hinted nowhere you're supposed to scroll, let alone that something is there.

    Found it now XD I still find it unlucky because one can't use YouTube in the native language without having stupid translations of descriptions and stuff...

    @LFlo Tell me about it. I had german translations on some videos and wanted to puke.

    At the very bottom of the page there should be a selector (or rather multiple, be sure to hit the right thing) for the language preference.

    I currently got half english half german titles on YouTube 😱
    Need to change my language settings asap as well
