Uncertain but you can be damned sure it isn't web dev.

Something to do with AI/ML. Google.org shows some initiatives it takes with researchers world wide.

research.google.com or research.ibm.com for more recent advancements. I'm very sure the 1% is so large that these two sites will give you less than 1% of what is actually being done

Why is this important? Did the 1% elite work on Facebook, for example, some years ago?

@JackToolsNet it is important in the sense where the industry MIGHT be heading towards and how far behind the rest of us is.

It is like knowing what the billionaires are earning and how. It is not like we catch up with them, but a sense to see where we are and where they are

They're working on how to sell more shit to people who don't need that.

@asgs sorry I don't care about this things. I won't live like this...

Among the most hyped things today there are machine learning and real-time ray tracing. I think those are the most financially rewarding topics nowadays so I guess a lot of top developers/engineers are involved in them.

@JackToolsNet It's what @asgs said, a sense of where they are are and where we are. But more importantly, I was curious as to what projects/tasks/companies require the skills of the top 1% to make them work.

Building trading systems, and recalling their time spent behind bars:

On a more serious note, @asgs is probably right.
