Just watched this video on modern feminism, power relationships and hierarchy, marriage, workplaces, a lot of social issues that revolve around the different genders. As this stirring by modern day feminists is now also increasingly intoxicating the technological field, I think this really is something that I'd like as many technologists as possible to watch. Granted, it's 240p potato vision, but it makes for a great podcast.

I did first 5 minutes. Couldn't make it any further. I just... couldn't.

@irene that's exactly the issue! Why should we have to marry, or commit ourselves to anything that doesn't hold any intrinsic value?

In today’s anti-men climate, I’m so glad I long ago married a woman who is strong and independent but values and appreciates men and doesn’t begrudge them their tendencies as males to want to be manly and do manly things.

@irene yeah, it's extremely densely packed.. I'll probably have to listen to it a few times to fully grasp the whole thing as well.

I generally like to space my longer rants into physically separated nibbles for that exact reason - it improves readability and makes the content appear less densely packed. I think that the video creator missed an opportunity for widening the video's reach in that regard.

    Summary?

@Root it's hard to make a summary without significantly degrading the content of the video. I honestly can't even make one yet. But overall it covers a lot of social issues that make feminists the way they are, and debunks it thoroughly in a reasonable manner (author leverages a fair bit of evidence and observations from various industries etc). It's not really a development-related video either (hence why I've put it in random). But it covers a common issue that's also present in the technology industry right now.

TL;DR: unfortunately it's very difficult to write a TL;DR for a video like this..

    @Condor Drat, I was hoping.
    I'll give it a watch.

I'd say old time's marriage is today's relationships... it's hard to commit to even a relationship these days!

Sounds like a shit load of stereotypes about gender roles.

You are going to bitch and whine all the way until you're finally faced with the reality that people are in favor of the "intoxication" of diversity and parity.

@FuzzyMyztiq except the huge majority isn't. And like hell am I going to cut off my cock and ballsack just to please the feminazis and the soyboys. Fuck no!

@Condor Seeing as how people like you are routinely weeded out, I think you're confusing the meaning of the word "majority"
  • 1
@FuzzyMyztiq weeded out by whom? The Twitter and Tumblr Gestapo from their little echo chambers? Am I going to be the next rape apologist? Am I going to be the feminazis' next witch hunt target in order to become "weeded out"? Gee I'm so scared.

Oh and just in case you would, I should mention that if I were to be a lawmaker, I would add the ability of law enforcement to - at least for the real rape cases with solid evidence, such as DNA-verified semen residue at the crime spot and/or in the orifice and whatnot - punish the perpetrator by having his cock and balls crushed between 2 stones, and have him bleed to death. Same thing on the woman's chest when it's a woman - because yes women do at times rape men. And even more often do they falsely accuse men of this crime.

Now how much of a rape apologist am I with radical condemning views like this, hmm. Just saying 😊

Anyway, go ahead and "weed me out". Good Lord Linus, enough fucking internet for today 🙄
