"Can our app work from 8am to 9pm, Monday to Friday?"
"Yes but it's an app, it can run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week."
"Oh... Is it possible to make it work only from 8am to 9pm Monday to Friday? They're our opening times and we want everything consistent!"

Slippery slope, a very slippery slope...

If it's an app for chatting with the staff or any such function tied to the actual opening hours fine - otherwise they are just as backwards as it seems :)

Well, in Poland there actually are some governmental websites that only work from 9 to 5...

@eidar I always thought the janitor shutdown the server when he left work. Apparently, as unemployed, you were supposed to go to bed early, not looking for jobs after 23:00
