    It's literally just like making normal friends.

    Go to programming events and just find people who have similar ideas as yoi

    @Stuxnet but ya see college has me booked so I cant go to events and I technically dont have a drivers license yet.. (dont judge me I'm late to it and only recently started needing one 😅)

    @Bubbles Classmates.

    It'll help ya come studying time and you'll have common interests.

    I didn't get mine until I was 17 (can get it at 16 in NC) so I gotcha. I didn't need it, but could have used it. But I was terrified of wrecking at the time, soon delayed as long as possible. Finally my parents told me that I HAD to get it lol

    Why do you need programming friends?

    @Stuxnet I'm currently taking the classes in my curriculum that arent programming.. that's why its harder for me rn, I planned on doing all the stuff I'll actually enjoy last if that makes any sense :/

    @netikras I just would like to talk to people about it and them understand and not brush it off. Also it would be cool to just hop in a call and program and just chill idk I just dont have anyone that understands what i do completely

    @netikras It's awesome to have someone to talk about classwork and projects in person. Plus, as I mentioned in my comment, great help for studying.

    @Bubbles Well hang tight. It took me a semester before I took a CS class. Im starting to befriend some of the other IT majors since I dropped CS. (IT is a pretty small major for my uni, so it's often the same group of people in your classes, which I think is freaking awesome.)

    @Stuxnet yeah I have no doubt I'll make a few in those classes when I get them but for now the programming life is lonely ;-; xD

    @Bubbles There's likely a club or frat (like an academic frat, not party frat) you can join.

    There's one at my uni a lot of the CS and IT majors are in. Im thinking about joining it

    @Stuxnet that sounds fun

    Word to the wise: Making friends at school is much easier than making tem after you graduate...

    Excuse me but..."C is too limited on Windows"...wat? It's cool that you want to go Linux but that's really weird logic.

    C isn't limited on Windows, why would it?! It's not like you can only use MSCL with its crappy C99+ support. GCC is fine, too.

    @RememberMe I'm not able to use C11 to it's full extent, such as its libraries it adds. And yes I have a proper compiler. Now I might be wrong I'll have to test more things out later

    @Fast-Nop I cant tell if you're agreeing with me or not

    @Bubbles disagreeing. But I'm just using MingW with GCC and not MSCL. What's actually missing is the sanitiser options and the profiling.

    For sanitising, I boot into Linux, which I need for testing anyway from time to time, and profiling works via Cygwin.

    @Fast-Nop I too am using GCC
