@jespersh i do have enough savings, but i'm not planning to quit my job until i can match what i currently earn.

@elitedawn no fiverr, no freelancer.com, Upwork only, it is really a monopoly in terms of best income, best middleman/escrow etc.
I'll link a rant I have on this in a bit -
@Ganofins read my rant, you'll notice that Upwork isn't for everybody, but it is still the only platform out there that is worth trying at all, fiverr and freelancer.com are absolute garbage, definitely NOT for full-time freelancing.

@Ganofins looking at your profile it says you're a student - any money as a student is something, but when you have thousands to pay a month to survive, that changes.
Hi!, Greetings fellow ranters,
I got into thinking this past few days. Because over the years, i really wanted to start my career as a freelance web/mobile developer, i'm not planning to quit my job(yet), but i want to slowly but surely build my freelance career. I just need some advice from you on how i should optimally or best approach this goal, and where/how should i find clients or what sites should i find clients, i know freelancer.com but I've heard other freelancers who had nightmares with it, upwork is also kind of overcrowded.
