People complaining about me using white theme are like people being dicks about what I wear.

Nobody legitimately gives a fuck. It's an inside joke but apparently some people take it personally.

I even use a light theme on Windows with Notepad++ using a 9 year old PC without SSD, take that! ^^

When I think about it - nobody in my company is using a dark theme. Ok, nobody uses vi or Emacs either. And nobody works at night.

Instead, the rifts are along the noise and temperature level in the office, and how strong the coffee has to be.

You just hate the planet, which is fine, its fucked anyway, but it's a well known fact that dark themes use less power than light, so have fun wasting power, and forcing more pollution and global warming, while the rest of us do our small part to actually help the planet.

@RTRMS if you really care about the planet, the number one thing in tech is not choosing a theme, it's to buy as little tech stuff and use it for as long as possible. Microelectronics have a giant ecological footprint.

My PC is 9 years old and going. How long do you use your devices?

@Fast-Nop depends on how long it takes for them to die, my last pc was probably 7 or 8 years old before it drowned, laptop was about 4 before it drowned, now I no longer own a computer.

Anything else I either sell, give away, or is still lying around. If its actually broken it goes to the electronics recycling place.
