Question unclear.

Are you uploading the media file by yourself and looking for player?

Or are you looking to embed media files/urls from popular hosts (SoundCloud, YouTube, Vimeo, etc)?

@cursee I am looking for the best way to have a player for files wich are on the server. No upload.

@Wombat and what do you want achieve? does it need to be pretty or is it just one file or do you want to create the new spotify?

Last updated date is two years ago but it's pretty simple player.

@heyheni I just have to provide an music example for a client who is a musician.

@Wombat if he's musician then i would advise using bandcamp.
That way the musician can earn some money and market his music better. As there are some record labels scouting on bandcamp. For your website there is a bandcamp api which you can use to create a custon player expirience.

If it is just a demo with no requirements host the audio file and use html5

But audiojs will make it look better I guess
