Nothing like working on a (really) big project in VS Code and the editor lags so much that I have to fallback to Notepad++.

Native does have its perks.

Spacemacs? Though I have no idea of its footprint for large projects.

Go to output tab, use the dropdown to check how many plugins have error.
VS code just an editor, it’s often the unsupported extensions slow you down

@sunfishcc I gave it a shot, but no errors. I have around 15 plugins. I like VS Code, but on a day to day basis there is a slight (and I mean a slight) delay between keypresses and it fucks up my typing. (we have an ERP-system to build and IIS running in the background, it taps resources)

@theuser another trick is to have a local vscode config file and only enable minimal extensions.
I’m still using a celeron 1.5GHz CPU on Ubuntu. With multiple node.js instance for testing.
