I really do love programming, but I really do hate implementing features that will make the database and code way more messy and complex. Which would be fine, if I wouldn't be quite sure the feature is utter bullshit and the user just can't really frame what they need.
And yes, I've asked my boss if he's sure if that's what they want and if not the other feature I implemented will fit those needs too. Yes, he is sure that they're sure they need exactly said requested feature.

    Look at the bright side of things - it will be harder to replace you once code becomes messy and complex.

    It get's worse, I even spoke to them personally and asked about how exactly they wanted it and confirmed I wasn't just misunderstanding. At one point they looked at me in disbelief and asked "That's possible? How are you able to do that?"

    @jonii Not worse yet IMO. The worst is if the feature you both agree with from the beginning got revised the next day after you finished because they weren't satisfied.
