When I use a plate, bowl, or silverware from the office kitchen, I'm not going to dry it with paper towels after washing it. So I brought a dish towel into the office.

That's behavior from when I used to have the 2015 model of the MacBook Pro. I was resolved to have a similar workflow, whether I was in the office or out in the world, so my primary display was the laptop, and any attached external monitors were just gravy.

Now though, I have the 2017 model, which is intolerable to use without an external keyboard, so it's locked to the desk and almost never leaves the office. I could easily switch to using the large external display(a second one is on the way) but I just haven't yet.
