@zotigapo all of us worked on singular components and had a master project that we would merge everything into which was backed up to Dropbox.

But we went through a cleanup and I copied the master to my HDD and it failed a couple hours later so was scrambling to get everyones code merged and fix the few bugs it created

At least you learnt why proper version control with backups is important

Reminds me of a Reddit post I read where they had a dead hard drive with important family photo on it and after trying everything they tried one last thing by blowing on it like an NES cartridge and it worked

@AL1L there are services that can recover data from pretty much anything if you pay enough
