Having a look at ‘brave’ the new browser on the block over the coming weeks. It looks great on paper. Saying that it’s 8 times faster than chrome/safari. wondering what it’s dev tools will be like.

No extensions/addons by design.
That's a dealbreaker for me.

Why?
I don't trust they'll do everything right, or everything I want. I also don't trust that they'll block trackers/etc. better than my existing setup.

Brave offers support for nearly all extensions that are compatible with chromium. To install an extension from the Chrome Web Store : Browse the store and find your desired extension.

Pretty sure brave has been about for years I remember using it quite a while ago.. I also can't verify this right now but I recall reading that it has a lot of phoning home going on underneath. Definitely do some research before trusting it. Also it's eight times faster claim is only because of a built in adblocker
