Because there's no fucking way that I will voluntarily deal with book keeping, tax declaration, legals and all that shit.
-
VaderNT16176yLately, book keeping, taxes and legalese sound more and more worth it to me. I'm just so fed up with "the higher ups decided"... something completely contrary to my best interests. Fuck being employed.
-
@SukMikeHok yeah, and you know what the end of the road looks like? Doing NO fucking tech at all anymore. Instead, it's about status reports, dashboards, customer acquisition, business plans, hiring decisions, wearing ties and longing for the good old times.
-
@SukMikeHok nah, it isn't. I want my office, my computer, my coffee. More than one meeting per week, and I start complaining.
Oh and also, if my company should fuck up and go bust, well so what, it's not like my money is involved. -
iAmNaN68456yI have to agree with @Fast-Nop. I've worked for myself before. Easy too much extra work, and then you have to deal with state taxes AND you get to pay the alternative minimum tax, which is even more of a pain. I'll remain a corporate harlot, thank you very much!
-
We sure the question ain't "why can't I work for myself?" The order of words is making my head dizzy
-
morteza2086y@AleCx04
here we pray god with arabic
use persian in school
and our native language is Turkish 😐
because of this its too hard for me to write a good sentence in languages , my fucking mind get involved -
@M1sf3t we did yesterday. But I always plan for when the shit hits the fan, so I had hidden one pound of coffee as strategic reserve in our part of the building deep behind the tea boxes. Engineering had coffee while finance was struggling. ^^
-
ardinent1146yBeen working for myself for 2.5 years. I guess it’s not for everyone, but definitely worth considering for those that feel they can pull it off.
Taxes suck a bit, but its not an every day affair - and you can delegate a lot of it.
Also no one dictating hardware, software, task management, .etc -
morteza2086y@Fast-Nop u are right but u know we cant be programmer forever !!
now we are young but in 35 our brain will be tired ! learning new things and improve our skills in 35 is too hard !
i cant imagine myself in future when i am 44 with two kids behind the pc 😐 -
morteza2086y@Fast-Nop wow ☹️ how u can work or learn new things ??
in that age we should discuss about our kids in school -
morteza2086y@rutee07 really ? most old of them age ?
may be but i am lazy one and i am sure in 45 all things i want is eat and sleep ! -
@rutee07 for you, always. ;-)
@morteza I started even a considerable side project just for getting into some new hardware, and that has grown much more than anticipated.
I don't want kids because there are too many humans anyway, and because Western society's idea of fatherhood all too often involves the plot of "don't see the kids, but pay for them anyway". -
morteza2086y@Fast-Nop if u are really 44 and still you are work as a programmer u are clever one but i know myself and i never going to work for anyone in 44 . i cant tolerate any one orders in 44 u are too flexible
-
morteza2086y@rutee07 bro sex is not every thing ! some times i feel alone and need some one to talk , go out and because of that i want to marry and make kids 😎two kids for myself
-
morteza2086y@rutee07 u are still young and may be some times u use your dick to think instead of your brain ,in your age i want to fuck every things which can move and have a hole 😂😂😂😂😂but now i look different to life
-
@morteza I'm even OVER 44. As for orders, you will always have someone to order you, and customers are much worse than a boss. Besides, I don't overly care. I get paid to do shit, and if I occasionally don't want to do it, then I do it without wanting.
Freedom is not about being free from orders. I'd have some nice quotes by one of my favourite authors, Nietzsche, on that, but I guess nobody wants to read Nietzsche here. Or even Crowley. ^^ -
morteza2086y@Fast-Nop why i think u are always right ? 🤔
u are a LOW-LEVEL programmer and all low-level programmers work and develop software until they die !!! -
@M1sf3t so? Last time a boss was a real cocksucker in every way possible and he missed the opportunity to fire me, I didn't return this favour and took care that he wasn't boss anymore. I can't order my boss, but I can make his boss not wanting him to be my boss anymore. It's just that I don't care enough most of the time because that costs me energy, so I pick my fights.

morteza2086y@M1sf3t how its possible a kuwait citizens talk here in middle of night ? if i was a kuwait citizen now i was in a bar with 493838383 bitch
-
@morteza sure, but that doesn't mean I'm limited to that. For my side project, I needed a website - and as you might expect, it's as low level as possible while still looking nice. Because SPEED. ^^
-
@rutee07 I think you've been through enough shit to have quite some perspective. Truth isn't comfortable, that's why belief is so attractive... but getting too much truth early on does whip time on the soul with the body lagging behind and looking young.
-
morteza2086y@Fast-Nop all low-level programmers are same .
they have good knowledge about liberal arts like
Philosophy, Psychology and ...
i know those things because i worked with many low level programmers !
they are always lonely and learn new things but some times they get angry too fast and can broke your head -
@morteza damn! Those are a lot of languages! All is fine man, I understand how hard it can be to properly keep one's head when dealing with other languages :) i speak 2 and am fluent on a third.
-
@rutee07 Dawkins is missing an important part. There is no point because that's the only way how to create one. Looks like he made his one about claiming that there isn't one. ^^
-
iAmNaN68456y@morteza, I'm well beyond 35, or 44. I'm beyond 55. I plan to remain working for at least another ten years, because I enjoy my work.
Why i cant work for myself ?
this is the question which every programmer one day will ask himself
