I had to modify hundreds of pages to use Embed API instead of the fancy JavaScript API when Google made the change. That was a chore.

@Nanos AFAIK they have a pretty generous free model, but you have to update the API keys for it to work

They changed it a while ago and they did a pretty good job communicating the change. Even was featured in some news articles IIRC

I'd recommend openstreetmaps. They've got quite some good api's as well!

@linuxxx I couldn't find any commercially free to use tile servers when I was looking to change to our maps to OSM.
