Learned Angular2+, I'm used to eclipse, I should probably install some Angular extension... Found a great extension in the marketplace, installed it... Found out it's not free and it's expensive as hell, and the best part, you have to keep buying it every year!
Why can't I just pay that shit once? It's not a service, it's a fucking product! I don't mind paying for some new features, but why the fuck should I pay for the same software over and over?

just break free and switch to whatever free tool everyone's using, vscode, sublime, atom, or any other free modern code editor

They are amazingly intuitive. Eclipse has really fallen behind now, and I think switching shouldn't be too hard.

@erandria I use Java at work and on my personal project.

So, now I'm using Eclipse for backend and vs code for front-end. VSCode is great, but I would be great to use the same IDE for both frontend and backend.

@strang3quark intellij is great with java part and surprisingly decent with everything else. I still have my ultimate lic since my studies, but I'll definitelly buy a new one after it expires. Intellij is worth the penny and the time
