Ducky Shine 7 Cherry MX Brown

I recently just got the Gigabyte k83! No RGB tho :(

I'm very happy with my Ducky, except for the fact that 50% of lights are fucked.

Doesn't matter much to me though :p

@kenogo I totally agree, I can't see myself ever going back to a membrane keyboard. Time for me to change the one I use at work

I have a Ducky One 2 (Brown switches). Love it, but change the space bar to the one without that ugly print.

Can someone tell me the benefits of using a mechanical over other types? Apart from rgb colours and old skool factor?

@nanos got it. I am in a love/hate relationship with the latest macbooks. hardware I like, keyboards no. I swear it adds to high blood pressure. I suppose the mechanical big keys, you KNOW that when you hit the bottom of the board it has planted that character on screen, so less necessity to keep one eye on screen for the confirmation that the keypress made it. I'll keep and eye out for one and try it out.

@fullslack If you have coworkers or family that you want to piss off then buy mechanical keyboard and let them hear every key stroke you make. They have no other benefits except for bullshit like "I'm typing faster than my screen can display" mentioned by Nanos. Like I know this can happen sometimes when you are using unresponsive software or your PC is potato from stone age, but come on.

@arraysstartat1 yeah cant see that happening unless you are using old pc as well as pc. but its possible to get quiet mechanical keyboards though?

@Root I believe the key caps are fully replaceable, and rgb is fully customizable. Only thing you'd have to do is paint the actual casing.

😍 new Ducky Shine, I've got Shine 6 Special Edition but I'm jealous :D (ordered 5 originally but they sold out so I got a free upgrade to 6 Special Edition... had to wait half a year for it tho.)

@bytecode oh nice, I have a habit of being jealous but am determined to be happy with this one as long as it lasts. Its my 30th present from parents (at my request), so it's got special meaning
