If you apply for a job advertising 35,000-45,000 and get offered 26,000 how would you handle it? If you meet the requirements and pass there test.

That's not a good thing. They aren't being transparent with you. Just for context sake, 35-45000 what? Euros? Zloty? Yen? Zimbabwean Dollars, chickens, goats?

Point it out, and ask if they're a joke.

Tell them the truth: your interest in the position evaporated when the offer came lower than the advertised low end of the range.

Ask them why the offer was so much lower than the amount under which you proceeded through the hiring process.

If it's some kind of test, then you don't want to work there. If it's a real offer, then you don't want to work there. If you accept that offer, you will send them a clear message, "you should not place any value on my time." You will never get a decent payraise from them, if you accept that offer.

@oreru same company. I'm waiting on an offer from a different company tonight. I'm just ready to leave my current job. It nearly made that 26000 look good.
