I wonder if software companies leaks their cracked product to internet with viruses to remove users' desire for using their products for free 🤔

    That's not a bad idea... I remember some movie leaking and there being lots and lots of fake uploads, making it really hard to find the actual movie. At least on public sites, private trackers are like heaven in comparison 😅 Buuut yeah.

    There was a Flight Simulator that actually did that. They hid a password extraction tool in a (virtual) jet that you could buy. However, it would only trigger if you got the jet illegally (so, a cracked version). At least that's what they clained.

    IIRC there is a game (Gamedev tycoon?) which you cannot win if you pirated the game. You always get bankrupt because of piracy.
