CptFox16166y@Skayo Just toss more powerbanks with planets to align them, so that each time they connect to the still in place module to charge the latest added bank 😊

@Skayo Climb on top of it at a time where no one's watching ;)
And I think a 20A powerbank suffices for a while. Of course I had to swap it out for a smaller one to charge it, but still
I like how you didn't ask about the internet connection :P That was handled by a friend's WiFi using a seperate WiFi dongle. -
jonii25246yThat sounds illegal as shit..
Why not sneak in the workshop and install a GPS tracker on every bus the next time? -
Conrad7376y@toriyaki My Pi Zero W runs for about 10 hours on a 2,6Ah powerbank, while being connected to wifi and top running via ssh. So this could easily run for 3 days straight, considering the camera, image analysis and wifi dongle draw a bit more power. And if you let it sleep at times you don't expect your bus or after the bus has arrived, this could probably last much longer.

@KartSriv Ah yes, the ultimate hacker tool. The best place to use it is a certain coffee shop at Wien Hauptbahnhof.

Non-public: I also once had a Raspberry Pi 2 placed on top of a bus station with a powerbank (and a little rain protecting covers) and a camera module, with a little piece of image analysing software that would notify me when my bus is coming.
This worked via Google Cloud Messaging. Initially I wanted to update that to Firebase Cloud Messaging, but I decided that I didn't need that system anymore and decided to give the Raspberry Pi 2 to a friend instead.
