When I was in HS, I was a member of the new GSA and the founders (both straight) wanted to spend the whole meetings talking about how gay people were mistreated in OTHER places. Meanwhile the social studies teacher was a MAJOR homophobe, but well liked by straight people, so when I brought it up I got shut down by these "allies" immediately. He liked to go on long rants about this imaginary war he'd made up about "gay people vs straight people". This guy was playing it off for laughs, and since his audience was kids he was getting them. To add insult to injury this guy was a tall, blond-haired, blue-eyed German who had WW2 propaganda posters pinned up all over the classroom -- and they weren't posters for the allied side.
My conclusion: HS sucks and there's a lotta fucking weirdos teaching HS in communities across the country. There were absolutely pedos and just general misanthropic teachers in that school too. We need to pay teachers more and fire the ones that are shitty. -

Ugh, I'm gay and I consider myself lucky to not have experienced any issues with anyone because of it. I'm also pro gay jokes, as I know my friends don't intend to offend me and just laugh with me.
I honestly don't think people like that can change their mind, if they can't come up with valid argument why being something is wrong they don't deserve to be listened to on topics such as these :/ -
What I think is that we should stop talking about gay people this and gay people that and homophobe this and homophobe that. None of it matters and no one gives a fuck about other people really. Lets be honest, you can hate or love gays all you want. If you meet a person and dont know which one he is you are just gonna treat them normally and then when you find out you wont care anyway. The retarded leftie media are the ones turning this into drama, but 98% of the population doesnt *really* care
We had a little "discussion" about same-sex marriage in school today and holy fuck our teacher is very homophobic. I'm still shocked!
First we were normally talking about how it's good that homosexual couples help the kids in orphanages and stuff and after a while, when I was talking to my friend, being distracted, I suddenly noticed that my teacher was telling us a story. I didn't hear exactly what she said but it contained the keywords "next table, gay couple, and leaving". I was like "wait what". Then I payed attention to what she was saying over there. "It's not natural" - okay uhm wow wtf.
Of course my classmates enjoyed the ranting about homosexual people. I know that most of them are very homophobic too. But my teacher?! She was always very lefty when we where talking about politics. But that?
I don't get it. "It's not natural" - fucking hell your fucking expensive iPhone is not natural as well and you are using it everyday. Intolerance is taught. Homosexuality isn't. It's a thing that has been on earth for thousands of years. In the ancient Greece people had sex with everybody. It was normal (It still is). Even in the world of animals there's homosexuality.
So fuck off with your "It's not natural". Even having THE OPINION that homosexuality is unnatural, is more unnatural than homosexuality itself.
On top of that, my "a bit friend", said that parents of gay children are unlucky and how they could put them in a strip club to show them what they are missing. (No joke he said that)
Fucking hell. Homosexuality isn't an illness or something.
Gooosh... Mind your own fucking business... Leave these people alone.
