Don't do anything you don't want to do. Is this and that a good career? Screw that, do whatever you want.

    Javascript
    Jquery
    Html/Css

    Frameworks/librarys:
    Laravel
    Angular5
    React

    API's to use:
I like atom but visual studio community or notepad++ or sublime is good

    Awesome things that are useful!
    Github pages
AWS , microsoft azure and google cloud for VMs

And perhaps knowing wordpress installation for debian 9 machines etc

Well at very least its what i use quite frequently , i wont go to much into the cross platform side and mysql and firebase stuff xD

finding your career path is all about what you enjoy.
Some people LOVE webdev, some people HATE it.
web development is incredibly broad though, with an infinite amount of frameworks and the ability to do the backend in any language.

Using React for the frontend and Laravel for the backend is a good start, since both have a lot of resources for beginners.

I do a lot of web development and design. I love it. Web development and web design are different and will often be separate roles in a large company. You will need to consider which one you like more as well as whether you like frontend or backend development more. Here are the languages I suggest learning:
    Front end:
    - HTML
    - JavaScript
    - jQuery
    - React.js
    - CSS
    - Sass/Scss
    And then also some tools:
    - Webpack (or a similar tool like Parcel)
    Backend:
    - PHP
    - MySQL

That should be more or less it. As you go you’ll discover more tools and frameworks that you want to learn and use. Good luck!

I used to think web dev was fun

Then I started doing mobile apps... Woo hoo... So much more fun, better pay

I started off learning web dev, self-learning all of the things already mentioned and more. Then I got a job in big data engineering.

My point is that if you learn web dev/design, you aren't locked in and can transition to another discipline if it's not for you.

Start with Javascript and HTML. If you like that it could be a good career for you. Personally I don't like web development but it's subjective.
