Avyiel10676y@jespersh I'm currently at the nearest college walking around, will do a sweep on my neighborhood later. But damn this sucks
-
Kimmax109876y@ScriptCoded usable recommendations? Shit I saw was either in the hundreds, or way to easy to spot. Embedded in the frame is a hassle if you have to change the battery every other day
-
Avyiel10676y@Kimmax saw a solar powered one that is embedded in the back light. Buts it's half the price of the bike itself xD
-
@Kimmax Don't have any unfortunately. I did plan on building one which charged by kinetic energy though. Never got around to do it in the end
-
Kimmax109876y@ScriptCoded that sounds like it could actually work. I thought about some portable wireless charger that you would have to place on the frame accordingly, but the metal would probably make this impossible/limit it to carbon fiber bikes
-
Kimmax109876y@ScriptCoded why so complicated. A good ol' dynamo on the wheel base will do fine and is probably the most efficient
-
@ScriptCoded how would it be visible? Not if you do it well.
Using a peltier in the saddle would have been funny but impractical. But even when it worked, saddle is easy to detach, and is sometimes the only part that is stolen. -
Kimmax109876y@ScriptCoded good ol' bikes have them anyway. More modern ones or purpose built may not, but the idea that it could power some gps device instead of your usual street lightning probably goes above the head of your average bike thief
Someone stole my bike. Fuck. €300 gone
