So I've kicked off the motorcycle season for this year! Scanned some nice roads for speed control traps or road dirt, then the same route with more WABROOOOOO.

That machine is whopping 19 years old, and I still like it as much as on the first day when I bought it as new. Plus that it doesn't have software nonsense, not even injection. Means, it fucking works.

    I wish I had a garage... :/ Would definitely get a steel horse. Now I envy everyone wrooming in the streets. It's torturing. This story is not an exception :(

    @netikras I didn't have a garage for many years, so I just use one of these big plastic bags designed for motorcycles. Of course, the bike will lokk a bit rotten after some time, but I even like the rat bike look.

    @Fast-Nop W/o any roof above? Just like that, covered w/ a plastic "bag"?

    How about winters? Do you use it in winters as well? (not sure which region you're in) If not -- where do you store it?

    How about repair works w/o a garage? Do you bring it to some sort of service or do you spill parts right there in the front yard of the multistore building (assuming you live in an apartment) ? :)

    These are the most painful blockers holding me off

    @netikras yeah, no roof, I just had a portable "motorcycle garage" like this: https://louis.eu/produktkategorie/... and using a lashing strap around the bike seat, top/left/bottom/right around, to prevent the bag from blowing away.

    In winter, I just left it at that. Even today with garage, I don't do anything special, not even removing the battery. Just started it today after half a year - worked upon the third try.

    However, I always fill up the (steel) tank before parking so that there is no rust from the inside which would also clog the carbs.

    For maintenance, I'm too lazy these days so that I have my bike shop do everything. On the other hand, the bike is very reliable so that there is no unscheduled maintenance anyway.

    But even if I had an issue where the bike wouldn't start anymore, I could always call up my shop so that they would come around with a transporter. OK, not for a dead battery, I can do that myself.

    @lazysnail well and the motor, which isn't a 149 cc single-cylinder at 13 HP, but a 750 cc four-cylinder at 76 HP. It's a Kawa ZR7 built in 2000.
