Travelling by train in Germany shows the 'great' status of the mobile network here.
Even emergency calls aren't possible sometimes...

It took 10 tries to publish the rant, because of bad coverage :)

@s0LA Even worse, the high speed vectoring only works for about 200 meters, after that the maximum speed is not available anymore.

    I mean you're not alone.

There's some BFE (Bumfuck, Egypt) towns here in the states where you get 3G at best and some where you get literal no service.

DB and DT just want you to disconnect from your electronics, and close your eyes and imagine that you are back in 1979. Bring out your Sony Walkman and pop in a Heino cassette and sit back and relax and enjoy the time.

@iAmNaN I was driving to Charlotte the other day and I hit some spots that went for like 5 miles without any signal

    It fucking sucks lol

Now I'm in Hamburg (with free WiFi), but the trains won't drive because of fire somewhere near the tracks.

I seems you can either have a good connection or a train. :(

@sbiewald dammit! I was stuck there, too! We could have hit the Bierbar! 😵

In the end, I got another more or less on time in the same direction after fire was extinguished and another one with WiFi (and it worked!). If this quality was introduced everywhere, that would be great.
