Coworker: You've merged the wrong PR. It is broken.
Me: is it marked as broken? Is there a mail marking it as broken?
Coworker: yes. I wrote something in the chat.

Me: 🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕

I do NOT read and click every brain fart from the chat. I had the PR (as reviewer and dependent developer) open on my desk and waited for the coworker to fix his merge conflicts.

OK then, try to revert. Git reset hard. Push -f. Policy does not allow master modification. 🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕

Fuck this company. Fuck the policies. Fuck them all with a chainsaw. Forced me to work 2 weeks more. 17.04 should have been my last day at this circus. Let 3 other guys go to vacation while I have fix their management's mistakes. Fuck. You. All. Eat shit and suffocate in piss.

Don't really have my hands dirty enough with git related activities to fully related, but I wanted to say:

A++ rant. Two enthusiastic thumbs up. I laughed, I cried, I cheered. I will never look at chainsaws the same way.

wuhuuu a classic and good rant for once!
How could they force you to stay 2 weeks longer?

@ShotgunSurgeon Canceling my holiday. Either I take the (ridiculous) bonus they offer me and work 2 weeks longer (good way) or I work 2 weeks longer (bad way), I get sick, they get mad, I sue them, they sue back, whatever..

I'm so disappointed you didn't read their super important chat. Next time you get an IM from them, you drop everything and your read every single word they wrote ... S.l.o.w.l.y. </sarcasm> This is one of the very few posts that is a legit rant! Have a ++ from me.

@ymas he wrote it in the team-shared chat. First, I had to read everything and find his stuff in piles of gibberish blubber bullshit. And second: he did not mention the PR to be broken. He asked to review a PR. Which turned out to be the new PR when you click on the pasted link. No further information. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🖕🖕🖕🤷‍♂️

TL;DR: not use git for versioning! Uses Google Drive and share link with your team. xD
