I dont use Ubuntu. Not even a Debian based distrobution. So i dont have a single clue about this.

I just assumed that you can disable gpg checking because thats something most package managers can do

Where did you get it? Because it might be that the gpg key file have to be downloaded seperately

try apt-get install perl

apt-get update

@HampusMa seems like it got partially installed, and my desktop is now gone. I can still see in Files but there's no Desktop, I've tried reinstalling ubuhtu-desktop, hopefully it works
