What exactly qualifies me as a software developer

You write code for software basically.

@cptstickypants someone told me that that's only part of it,that I need to find out more.His words were "Writing doesn't make you a bestselling author,you need to know how to weave your story in what you write and not just write because you know how to" What else do I need to learn

@snyakundi There's difference between being a best selling author and just being a author, An author is the creator or originator of any written work such as a book or play, and software developer is a person developing software (for me atleast), don't know what the other parts are tho.

2. Develop

3. Testing

4. Debugging

5. Researching why it doesn't work

6. Debugging until you get another error

7. Loop to 4 until no errors

8. Test to find out it doesn't work as intended

9. Loop to 2 until it does

10. Client changes the specs (this is a system interrupt, can happen anytime) so goto 1

11. ???

12. Profit? Bodily harm? Dropping of the project? The result is unspecified

Programmer or ux workflow. The later since you can build simple applications without actually coding and its still a software that can be used.

It does not have to be a commercial or successful.

If someone needs a more strict definition they should be more specific than just “software developer”.

Some employer that assigns you that title. I've seen it applied to all kinds.

Make a own software ? TODO application is acceptable.
