This has been an eventful week I guess. Not a happy week, however.

A friend of mine passed last Thursday. We weren't too close, but we were still friends, and he was very close to a couple other friends of mine. He'd always had health issues, but he was only 19. He hadn't been out of high school for a full year.

Then I just found out today that another friend of mine got arrested for shooting and killing someone this past weekend. I don't know many details about what happened, mutual friends are saying it was self-defense. He's never seemed like the kind of person that would just murder someone, but shit happens.

Sorry for your loss. Losing someone is never an easy thing. Talking/sharing happy memories might help.

Don't take this as heartless, but please remember who you are , what your life is, and try to stay focused on that during this double whammy of horror. These things happened to other people. If you can try to run a mental checklist of everything in your life that's going well. I wish I could share anything else, but being 60 years old and still feeling like the little 19 year old shit who nearly got arrested for flipping attitude to a Canadian Customs Inspector, I don't feel old I have noticed that time and experienced would help me through what to you is open mouth shock.
Is there somebody you can talk to about this? Because if there is, this is the time to ask for help. Please let us know how things go for you over the next few weeks.
