I'd just generate aliases for okmate@kescher.at on my own mail server if I wanted to do the same things :P

@filthyranter with gmail you can add a plus to your address like me+boy@gmail.com, and it will still reach me@gmail.com

@erandria That's neat, but am trying to slowly kill off my use of Google services, and so far it seems to paid off already, ads are as irrelevant as ever :)

You can add dots to gmail address to go to the same mail. Gmail ignores dots, so it's an easy way to get unlimited mails that "forward" to your main mail.

The plus thing is for tracking pages.

Eg. if your mail is mymail@gmail.com, and you signup to Pornhub with mymail+pornhub@gmail.com, and you get spam/ads targeting mymail+pornhub@gmail.com instead of mymail@gmail.com, you know who's the culprit.

@skyrocker Well, tracking seems to be broken.
