The ones I always keep an eye on are the Amazon Alexa based ones. There's two sorts - every so often they publish Alexa skill promotions (where you usually get a t-shirt or similar for uploading a new Alexa skill):

    https://developer.amazon.com/alexa-...

...and the Hackathon based ones (usually posted on devpost) which often offer participation prizes as well as pretty substantial cash prizes for the top 5 submissions or so.

I do these routinely enough now that I can often get a basic Alexa skill done and published in about half an hour or so, so it's not a great deal of work if you're proficient at coding.

So far I've acquired numerous t-shirts, a bag, a fire TV stick, two echo dots, an echo spot and an echo show. They take a while to arrive, but all for free. Definitely worth a few sessions of evening coding once in a while!

@AlmondSauce I read it's terms and conditions, it says that you have to pay $1 in order to publish something.. Although I was unable to understand it properly.. but is it free or not??
