Shout out to our HR manager who doesn't accept sick leaves if it's "just a migraine" or "just a stomach ache"

    Then get a sick leave for at least 3 days. Remark innocently to the HR manager's boss that you would have taken one day, but HR required the doctor's certificate, and the doctor decided you needed three days.

    Works wonders with that kind of shit. Their stupid decisions must cost money, otherwise there's no incentive to learn.

    @Fast-Nop my developers did that.
    So my team suffered lack of resources.
    So all the projects were late, I was blamed.

    I wanted to yell to HR head. He is CEO's brother.
    I yelled anyway.

    Now, I'm a negative person.

    But in the end the problem was solved, as 2/3 of the team left.

    I don't have migraine.
    As for the stomach ache, I can develop sitting on the toilet.

    No wonder code is shit

    I could call in with a case of the "too many ice cream sandwiches flu" and they would give me the day off.

    They do this because I work hard when I'm there and deserve the human respect of some flexibility, because I've earned it.

    If they asked for a doctor's note they'd get my letter of resignation instead.

    As someone who has suffered from migraines her entire life:

    If someone tells me "A migraine? So just a bad headache, then?" I beat them senseless with the nearest hard object, like a chair or their own head. The schadenfreude is well worth the excrutiating pain from the sudden physical exertion.
