I still absolutely hate how microsoft's marketing team renamed "project" to "solution"

@Root how come? A solution can have multiple projects inside it.

@electrineer The name "solution" is all markety and ridiculous.

A project could have multiple applications inside of it. Or why use a different word at all? "Project" fits perfectly. A project can have multiple projects inside of it. Works wonderfully.

@Root Project inside project? that cofuses Marketing! also - better file extention.
@milkyway you need to index fukin everything. fukin *everything*. in the forground. and then color the text.

@magicMirror eh, it's a container. Containers should be generic so they can contain other containers.

@magicMirror Bruh, what are you talking about :D, just try to copy and paste any class from solution explorer inside VS2019

@electrineer not even talking about multiple projects in one solution, only copy/paste within one project

I fucking hate that IDE! I can't believe that shit existed for decades now and it is still crap!

JetBrains IDEs are THE BEST in the world.

@milkyway well - yes. but that requires reindexing the whole project from scratch. the whole fukin project. in the foreground. in case you want to search for something in the next 5 seconds.

@Mbithy yeah I also avoid Visual Studio as much as I can and use VSCode instead. I just hate the sturdy feel of Visual Studio, VSCode is so much lighter on the workflow

Well I only dev in C# for Unity with Visual Studio 2019 and for this specific case it is the best project solution .

@magicMirror I guess so, But this is MS team not stupid devs, Can't they make the whole process of indexing without blocking the UI

@milkyway look at any of the jetbrains ides. or eclipse. they actually do that in the "background", allowing you to watch the progressbar advance... and not much else.
tf-idf indexing takes time. MS is not alone there. I hope they are working on a "solution" for this. Hopefully, the Marketing team is not involved.

I use VS every day. Coming from Eclipse and Android studio, it felt like an upgrade. I have no complaints...
