Same thing here, for hours I do what @xewl said,
for description: fixing x, developing y ...etc.
Just random stuff that I remember -
iAmNaN68456yIn the US, if you are working on a capital expense project, then the time you spend on the project is tax deductable, which is why large companies ask salaried employees to track time. It means fewer taxes. Baseline projects, on the other hand, are just expenses. New development is a capital expense (investment), while baseline (maintenance of old code) is an expense.

So the client knows that you're not on youtube all day without lookin at the code.

VaderNT16176y@ravijojila and how would the client know that just from the time sheet that you write yourself?

Fluert33yHey guys. I think you shouldn't worry so much about this. As I know time tracking is quite popular thing nowadays, special software like from https://traqq.com/ is widely used in modern management. I even can say that it is really useful, if you want to achieve really great results in your work.

Time tracking. 😡🤮 If I’m salaried and only working on one project for one client, why the hell should I waste my time making weekly reports of how many hours I spent coding, reviewing pull requests, and sitting in (mostly pointless) meetings?
