Lots of graphics and physics applications make heavy use of trig. A game engine for example would have both those things.

Pointer32378y@CortDavis So, for Software Engineering, I understand it as a real one. So, don't take for granted that all you would do won't involve trigonometry, it can be weird when you're required to code something related, but it doesn't hurt to know something else 😁.
When I was a freshman I doubt the need of learning calculus and other math stuff, but now, with some projects I have, I'm really glad I sticked around! -
I've used Trig in geo-mapping software too. You never know when some user story will come across your desk and you think: "woah, that stupid class really was useful"
Not a rant! But what is the point of taking Trig? I know for Calculus but what else.
