Pros & cons...
Pros:
- no colleagues speaking aloud on the phone
- no space sharing with people you don't like
- no time wasted in commuting
- more flexible hours
- more freedom and independence if you are smart
- you can cook your food while working
- you don't need to wear a suit or tie or stupid things like that
- if there is a low workload, you don't even need to work
- you can watch movies, look for holidays reading news or whatever without shame
- you can have multiple jobs
- you can work wherever you like, not necessarily from your home. You can go to the seaside, to London, Paris, whatever
Cons:
- you can overstep easily the boundary between your private life and your working life and become a slave, a caveman, an asocial shadow of a human being, risk a severe burn out -
Netherlands?
I like to think I work better from home. But I end up walking and playing with the dog for hours. Cleaning, taking a nap. But well its allright to fool yourself right? -
Hazarth95045yWhen I work from home and need actual work done I *have* to go out to work anyway. I found a good café in my area thats work oriented and I try to make sure to make it worth their time and space too if I go.
I don't see how people like to work from home. Was forced to do that due to a public transport strike. There something about going somewhere with a purpose. The 4 walls are closing in
