How about just not paying you this quarter because, you know, fuck the paying deadline?

How about you can't pay your appartment and end up homeless because, you know, why bother with paying you on time?

You see, expecting timeliness on the receiving end without committing to it on the delivering end will not work if everyone approaches things from that angle.

@Fast-Nop I'm not against deadlines in principle.

Deadlines have to be reasonable. But for quite some time deadlines are the only base for deliveries. Nobody cares about the state of the features to deliver. "We have to deliver on X/Y/Z, otherwise the contractual penalty is due".

At the end, there are 2-3 more deliveries afterwards to get everything straight. And the additional effort of new releases and deliveries is not for free, it's just not as obvious.
