Ok so apparently somebody at Google gcp thought it would be a great idea to be able to select more than one instance at a time and select something like delete and it goes ahead and deletes it without any sanity checks.

Yikes. Hope those were empty test instances. No way to recover them? I've never worked with GCP.

So you selected multiple instances and then clicked on a button or an option in a menu that said delete?

@grumpyoldaf yes I checked an instance to start it, (the one I was working on) then 2 hrs later I was so happy to finish it and I was ready to delete the old server that I hastily checked the old server and clicked delete before unchecking the new instance and was terrified to see both instances spinning circles.

I stayed late and rebuilt it but that's two hours of my life I'll never get back.
