Honestly I feel like I learned a whole lot more at my internship than at school. However I don't think I would have without the schooling.

@Aethiris, that is true. School is just to provide a knowledge framework and prepare you for "real life". You should learn programming fundamentals in school, not tools MS Visual Studio or MFC which eventually will be obsolete anyway.
