@kescherRant i don’t know where you’re from, but paying upfront is not really usual here. And since i don’t work for a fixed price, sending my invoice upfront is kinda impossible.

Nah, not possible in this setup. An existing app had issues on production, had to deliver some bugfixes to get it running again. Normally for full projects i indeed invoice before stuff goes to production.

@JohnDoesNot in that case do you have proof of your work and did they agree payment. I would say send a deurwaarder. My father did that once for 100 euros. In the end the customer had to pay 200 euros (100 for the actual costs and 100 for fines and deurwaarders costs)

Maybe in the future i’ll do that. I indeed made an estimation in email. I believe they may have the intention to pay me, but they wait for their client to pay them first (kind of complex project, they are not the owner but hired me). It’s around 3K, so it’s worth to get a pro to get my money if needed.

My biggest issue with freelancing is this kind of shit. Fuck your client I hope it gets resolved.

@JohnDoesNot ask them what the go is.. you have your payment terms on your invoice. Once those hit you have every right to question the account lady. And don’t forget to remind them you fixed their production setup so they’re enjoying the benefits of your work already
