Any thoughts on Ionic? Do I learn it or it is a waste of time?

It's not something I'd rush to learn IMHO. If my dayjob called for it then I'd use that opportunity to skill up, but I wouldn't go out of my way to do so.

I actually like it, it makes very light apps and it's easy to use.
I started learning angular from there, I personally would recommend that for business apps.

for small data driven apps? maybe.
For medium to big apps, with more features, hell no

After reading a bit it is basically a web page running inside a browser but can use device features like any other native app. I'm not sure how this helps ...

@gitpush I guess it all depends on what you prefer to work with. I'm loving Angular, I use it every time I make web apps. I think it too heavy for regular web pages though.

Typescript makes it all easier as well 👌

@gitpush I thought it compiled three different versions depending on your needs.

If you’re small lean and need to get to market fast go for it. If you’ve got dollars then go full native.. I feel that ionic is only going to get stronger with removing reliance on any one language. Plus releasing capacitor is an interesting step
