donuts236725yWait it says 43lbs not kg... That's ,
20kg. Why the fuck does it feel so heavy then.... -
20kg.. The f....??? A few pine sticks, a panel on the top - and you're set with <5kg. What the hell is this 20kg monstrocity? 😁
-
donuts236725y@Nanos yes but why would another top work? That would be even more weight?
The PC setup maybe 50lbs max... So this is going to double the load on the desk.... -
donuts236725y@irene maybe... Was really tired when I got back, out all day for Restaurant Week... Food especially dinner was not with it though...
-
donuts236725y@jespersh @netikras it's a standing desk converter.
VIVO Black Height Adjustable 36 inch Stand up Desk Converter | Quick Sit to Stand Tabletop Dual Monitor Riser (DESK-V000V) https://amazon.com/dp/B0784HWPN6/... -
donuts236725y@jespersh really... The problem is I need to monitor also to be above the kb... Current design I think is $100.
And well I don't think I can carry up a desk or replace it easily... Basically have to remive everything including the stuff in the drawers -
Will that even be high enough for standing. Hard to judge when it's still in box.
-
donuts236725y@Nanos yes I'm looking for a bit of balance to avoid sitting all day, especially on weekends.
Actually I just checked the Ikea site on my PC instead of phone... Says maxload is 110lbs, so should be ok... Still need help installing it though. -
donuts236725y@Nanos but the keyboard needs elevation too... And well I think dealing with the cables might be a problem.
My read did a wall mount tv once, had to stop holes for the cables -
donuts236725y@Nanos I'm worried about the monitor stand breaking... Not sure if it came with a wall back plate. And well me and power tools don't play nice
I think I got a problem... The standing desk extension I bought is 40kg.... But after carrying it up... Even with a pull cart and elevator... It feels too fcking heavy for my desktop... I have a feeling it's going to crack it in 2....
Any tips/ideas? Feels like I need to put a metal safe under it, in the middle now... To make sure it doesn't collapse too much...
