Power outage. Our wifi dropped about 35 minutes in. God bless the UPS.

Nope, it never does. Or at least it hasn't yet in the two years we've lived in this house, through two or three power outages. The cable modem, router, and wifi access point are all plugged into the UPS, and I determined last night that they will remain powered and fully functional for about 35 minutes on UPS alone. The NAS is hooked to it too, though. I need to move that off it. I'm sure that eats a lot of that time.

I assume they're on some kind of priority infrastructure. Like how when I was a kid the landline phones would still work through power outages.
