Being a Mac user (desktop), when I have a browser window open I NEVER have it occupy full width, usually around 2/3rds width of monitor. Now a client sending me screen grabs from PC always have their browser window absolute max width. Is this a normal thing for PC users? just intrigued, am I the odd ball here?

Yeah this is normal. That's because PC users don't have normal blood. Instead their hearts pump thick, vomitous oil that oozes through their rotten veins and clots in their pea-sized brains which becomes the cause of their Nazi-esque patterns of violent behavior.

I'm mostly on Windows and never have anything full width because common monitors are at least 16:9. Good webdesigners limit the max width of their content anyway, and bad webdesigners produce unreadable mega lines at full width so that full width is pointless.

Ex-designer and now full-stack, using ubuntu and two screens. yep, always full-width, any activity. i think most apps in PC start with full width. I only do two windows at the same time when talking with someone and reading stuff at the same time. I remember using a mac for a few months and be always maximizing the windows

Always maximised if its on screen for a long continuous duration. Sometimes split screen if working with multiple programs for some task, so that all space is used. It looks too messy if the window is not properly maximised and there's smut showing on the background.

I wonder how I could manage with an ultrawide.

I always thought people that don't maximised their windows are just some grandmas, but... they are mac users!

    It depends.

If I have more than one monitor, I'll probably do it, except if I do a side-by-side conparion.

Why would you not utilize all your real estate
