Pickman6565yYou are right. It's obvious. But clearly you failed in making him understand that. You need to bring him in the right perspective when such things happen. E.g. do not talk about getting paid or some such to start with. Talk about going forward and renewing contract then expose that you want to go forward but that you need something to do so. And that's when you ask for money. Because you need it. At this level this tactic works just fine.
P.s. don't worry about not succeeding in the industry... These guys are full of shit. I don't like to talk about them like that but it is precisely what they are. I know because I work for one at the moment. -
Pyjong10935yIs there something you still need from this cheeky boi? I mean if he rude and internship is over, you don't need to care for what he has to say. Does he hold your reference hostage?

bols597795yIf I may say so, you've just experienced the first but not last example of what absolutely arse wholes people in any position of authority can be. I've learned from experience to hold my tongue and act gracious to their faces, before fucking them off and walking out. Yes, I have walked out. Never regretted it; but not everybody can do that. He'll never understand.
But disrespectful? I would tell him he knows far more about disrespect at his advanced end of the toilet than you *ever* hope to! -
Your fault was agreeing to work for free in the first place. Just keep this event in mind in future and never ever take whatever idiots like them say to you to your heart. :)

At my company we NEVER take interns for coding.
Right now, it takes about 1 day to present just basic concepts of the projects and toolchain used.
And in 5 attempts we did; the intern couldn’t produce 5h work in 1 week. So, it takes us 8 hours (a day) to explain and then we have a 5h result.
We decided it’s not worth it.
I started doing this internship(my first internship; unpaid). I worked my ass off for the guy. He didn't have shit for a developer and I worked the best to my knowledge. Did all the work given to me during the internship.
After the internship was done, the guy expected me to work even after that because he felt that I owed him something for giving me the internship and I should feel obliged to work more for free. I asked for money. Nope.
Final Talk with him: He says I am a disrespectful fellow who will never succeed in industry.
This is fucking crazy right. He is the son of a bitch not me? Correct? Was I supposed to work after internship if the work wasn't done even if I didn't want to.
