Can someone recommend me a good web hosting with a reasonable price/quality ratio that is not AWS / Digital Ocean? Much appreciated

@RageOverflow heroku is too expensive, go with scaleway/DO and learn along the way how to not get scammed by hosting offers and run your own server, something as simple as a LAMP stack is done in like 5 minutes:

@RageOverflow oh I forgot, actually both scaleway and DO even offer a pre-installed image for LAMP, so no need to install it yourself even, just read the docs of that image.

@JoshBent Thanks for the advice. I am not new to web hosting / web dev though. I've been using DO/AWS for a long time. I also asked for something other than AWS/DO :)
I just grew a bit tired of the same services and was curious what other people here might recommend. A LAMP stack is trivial and won't serve my needs. Still thanks though @JoshBent

EDIT: I meant that I am not interested in a LAMP stack not that it has limited possibilities or smth

@RageOverflow well you didn't specify anything besides wanting hosting, but yeah if you just want to burn some cash for some funny new stuff, check out heroku.

I personally really like DO. Simple UI and the company seems like a nice place to work. Plus they support open source projects.

I guess Azure or Google Cloud would be on the table, since everyone else has mentioned heroku. Azure has nicely competitive prices to AWS ($3/month for my own server which was hosted to support a phishing exercise), and they have many of the same features that AWS has, and imo their API is documented a bit more intuitively.

Google Cloud i wouldnt recommend because... Google... But hey up to you. Other option is to buy your own computer so you dont have to pay for resources beyond the physical ones themselves.
