Friends/Seniors : "Hey, you should take these courses. They are easy and you can get easily an A!"

Who the fuck decide what optional courses to take based on if it's easy or not?!
Students take them because :
a. They are interested in the subjects
b. Knowledge/skills after attending the courses will be beneficial for future career.

I put my money more on option b though, i.e I'd rather get C's in courses that I found it useful, than getting A's in useless courses.
(Btw, my avg grade is just a little above Cs)
If my sole purpose was just to get straight A's, I would enroll in liberal art courses instead of this stressing half-CS course we're in.
You're a joke to yourself, that's why I don't hang out with you.

Because the only reason to study and get a degree is to get your cv in front of the recruiters. You don't actually use anything you learn at uni in the real world.

    This ^

Also sometimes all options suck so you just go with the least problematic ones...

I remember being naïve enough to think I'd actually learn something in an uni course. The only times I actually learned something were the times I actually studied the subjects on my own. Most teachers have no clue how to teach anyways and the goal of uni is to get a degree.
